Road Fogies: a couple of fogies traveling with their poodle

Acadia National Park continued

As we continued along the loop road we encounter the Thunder Hole. Named for the noise the waves make when crashing into the inlet, Thunder Hole is one of the most popular stops in the park. Seen best about an hour and a half before high tide the waves not only roll like thunder but splash high into the air. The surrounding rocks are covered with people watching the show or just looking far out into the Bay of Maine.

Our final stop of the day was the first overlook we stopped at just in time to see the cruise ship going back out to sea. Blowing up my pictures I could make out the name; The Holland American Maasdam.

Now back to the RV and the doggies. A long walk tonight to make them happy.
