Road Fogies: a couple of fogies traveling with their poodle

It is hot

We reluctantly left the Grand Canyon and continued our journey south along I 40, next stop Kingman, AZ. Kingman has two claims to fame, Route 66 and it was the childhood home of Andy Devine. For you, young'ens, Andy Divine was a movie, and TV cowboy best know as Cookie, Roy Roger’s sidekick. We used our day there to catch-up on things, edit pictures, Tom got a haircut, I clean the RV a bit, stuff like that. We did have dinner at a cute 50s theme dinner.

Our next stop was Needles, CA. We went this way to avoid the high bridge across the Hoover Dam. I had been warned that it experienced wind gusts that could push a big rig into another lane. As far a Needles is concerned, I won’t say much as there was little there, except it was very HOT. We are experiencing multiple days over 100 degrees.

While in Needles we drove down to Lake Havasu City to see the London Bridge.

Next stop the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.
