Our last stop on this tour was at Letchworth State Park in New York. Letchworth is located on the Genesee River, it is a beautiful place, a series of three water falls in the deep gorge. The heart of the park, the Glenn Iris, was the estate of William Letchworth, He donated it in 1907 so that it would be preserved for future generations. This section of the park contains his home the Glenn Iris inn a beautiful example of Victorian architecture. The parks stone walls, buildings and trails on the cliff walls were built int he 1930s by the young men of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
